  2. Did your bra size drop when you started losing weight? (**Not a creeper question, I'm starting off with exercising and I don't want to buy new bras, but if I will need to, just trying to mentally prep for it)

Hahaha! Actually, I’ve been fortunate - I haven’t really lost any of my boobage. But seriously, doll - buying a couple of new bras is a hell of a small price to pay for being in the best shape of your life. PLEASE don’t let that keep you from working your ass off! Shit, I work at a Salvation Army and I buy most of my bras there for under $3 a piece. We get a lot of stuff in that still has tags on it or has obviously only been worn once or twice and is basically still new. So there are places you can get nice clothes for cheap! You might even be like me and not lose weight in your boobs, who knows? Either way, like I said before…please, please don’t let such a silly thing hold you back :(

  3. I just saw you on my feed and I want to know: how do you stay motivated? I have bad habits from school and now that it's summer and I'm between my bachelors and masters, I want to go back healthy and in good habits. Were you always into exercise?

Well, I’ll admit that I don’t work out EVERY day like I should. Some days I’m just not feeling it. I don’t feel guilty for skipping one or two workouts peer week, though - after all, bodies do need to recover! And no, I actually loathed gym class all through school and I was never very active. I only started getting interested in fitness last summer, haha!

Anywho, my main motivation right now is to look positively bangin’ in my wedding dress when I get married next June :) And, well…I just want to be really fit. Like, I’ll be absolutely 100% satisfied when I get to the point where I don’t have to be flexing my muscles for them to be obvious, haha! I did write up the full rotation calendar for Body Revolution and hung it all up on the wall in the room where I work out, along with a weight and measurement chart that I’d update every 2 weeks to keep me going. I loved being able to cross each day off as I went along, it was very satisfying :)

The best advice I can give you is to find one reason you want to get healthy and remind yourself of it every day. Or, something that works for a lot of people - buy a pair of jeans or a dress that’s just a little too snug or maybe one size smaller than you wear now, and use that as short-term goal. When you can fit into that garment comfortably, do it all over again! Small goals like that are easier to reach, but still super satisfying :) And whatever you do, DON’T rely solely on the scale! Take progress pictures and go by measurements/inches lost, not weight. Trust me, the scale will only drive you nuts. Try to only weigh yourself every couple weeks!

  4. WOAH! I am so stoked to look like you, I have struggled the past two years with my weight and i was planning on starting my insanity again tomorrow but now i saw your results and I'm getting the body revolution! im very proud of you. what do you plan on doing to get your abs and muscles toned?

Awesome, thanks! And I don’t really need to do much more toning, I’m quite happy where I’m at now…I’m just gonna do another rotation of Body Revolution and use my stationary bike/go jogging to lose a bit more body fat.

Here it is: my final progress picture! This is after 12 weeks of Jillian Michaels Body Revolution and relatively clean eating! I’m 5’5” and 148.6 pounds as of this morning. The funny thing is, I was exactly 148.6 when I started the program back in March. Evidently, I lost 10 pounds of fat and gained 10 pounds of muscle, haha! I dropped 1 inch from my waist, 2 inches from my hips, and a combined 3 inches from my thighs. It’s been a long road, and I still have a lot of work to do before I’m 100% satisfied, but I sure am happy to be where I’m at now :)

Thanks for all the love, guys! To all of you sending messages: I’ll respond tomorrow when I get home from work! You are all awesome! :)
